I found a new spot to watch the traffic. And the airplanes taking off and landing. And the smog.

Driving home one day, I got a flat tire on the freeway. Thankfully, I was able to maneuver across three lanes of traffic and onto the shoulder of the freeway safely. I called AAA (finally making use of my membership) and talked to a very nice lady on the phone. After getting all my info and dispatching a driver to my rescue, she ended the call 'I hope you have a better day'.  Thanks. Me too. I tried to distract myself from the vehicles flying by just a couple feet from my car by watching the planes. I guess it could be a relaxing thing to do if one wasn't stranded on the freeway, roasting in the 113' temps of an Arizona summer afternoon.
My kind rescuer showed up wearing an orange vest with a cold bottle of water for me, which was amazing. He changed the tire and had me on my way in about ten minutes. It was quite the chore merging back on to the freeway in between all the cars trying to get up to speed on the entrance ramp. I headed directly to Discount where the great guys there got me right in (and gave me another bottle of water). My tire had to be replaced as there was a big puncture on the side wall-from what I have no idea. Thankfully all I had to pay for was another warrentee certificate.

In the process of taking the spare off, a stud had to be broken off. The Discount guys referred me to the guys at Network Alignment. I went there the next day. The guys at Discount were supposed to have given me a card/coupon for the stud replacement making it free, but they didn't. Regardless, the Network guys honored that coupon and fixed it for free (They're great guys and do good work if you are in need of a mechanic-located in downtown Mesa). They just asked if I would call the guys at Discount and play a joke on them, saying that Network had charged me $75 because Discount didn't give me the coupon (I didn't).

Where was Jeremy in all this? Home studying for finals, taking me out to eat after I got home, and calling to come pick me up because he thought Network was taking too long (I went to the grocery store afterwards).
