Jeremy went to the grocery store with me today (that's twice in two weeks) and once all the coupons were deducted our total came close to $34 dollars for a week's worth of groceries, saving about $93. The average cost for 48 items was about 0.70 cents each, in spite of a couple surprise items that found their way into the cart when I wasn't looking :-). I love getting great deals!

It's such a comfort to be able to live well within our means and to be able to make ends meet, without having any debt. Budgeting each month allows us to have the ability to cash flow school expenses and send me to Africa for summer vacation. Yes, we live in the ghetto and are very much looking forward to the day when we have enough money for a sizable down payment on a house but are both very content in our modest lifestyle. Of course, it all comes back to being thankful for the many blessings that God has given us and knowing that it is Him who has provided for everything we need.

I've had two appointments to get shots for my travels and have yet one more in a couple of weeks. This week I started my packing list, can you believe it? I know, I know I am an overachiever (is there help for that?). Monday is my big voicing assignment and I just found out the other day that it will be video-taped. At least it will just be my voice on the tape. It's springtime and I love it! Springtime in AZ is definitely my favorite season of all. Over spring break we caught up with Andy & Alicia, Dan, my family, Jer's family, Lewis & Jamie, and Matthew & Christy, which was all lots of fun. The next time our social calendar will be open is May.

Christy had asked Jeremy what he was going to do when I am on my Swazi Safari. Jeremy's response, "I am going to change my face book status to bachelor, invite all the guys to come over and tell them to bring their cigars and money for poker. We'll play poker the whole time she is gone." Fantastic.

Woah!! Amazing deals!! Remind me to pick your brain about that when I see you next. Here's hoping Jeremy's poker hosting doesn't do any lasting damage. ;-)

It's all because of CouponSense. Let me know if you are ever interested in doing that program. I've found it to be extremely helpful and it makes my grocery category the easiest to control out of my monthly budget.
