I've crossed off a couple items off of my 101 goals in 1,001 days list.
38. Go to three Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA) meetings: I went to one meeting on 1/12/12. It was very interesting and inspiring to see so many small business owners. One gentleman, who sold promotional items, gave me some good advice on the importance of taking up 'desk real estate' with my promotional items and to develop friendships with my customers as they are more likely to give repeat business to a friend. I passed out a lot of business cards and will consider participating in the mentoring program that ASBA offers.
41. Deal with mail immediately every day for two weeks: Accomplished! I started January 7 and kept it going until January 25. Ok, so there were a couple days that I didn't get the mail and then there was MLK day, but every day that I did bring mail into the house I dealt with it immediately! I also added a few more days to account for the gaps. The mail is my nemesis and tends to pile up into a mountainous pile overtaking my counter. Hopefully I will be able to keep up this habit (and just not get the mail that day when I don't feel like dealing with it:-) as it has helped my stress level and in keeping my house clean.
39. Develop a theme for my business: Since I was working on writing this list for a couple months before starting, I actually came up with a theme long before this was launched. I have my own business, CJCQ Interpreting Services, LLC, that I set up mainly for the protection that it offers and now I have a theme for it.
CJCQ Interpreting Services, LLC: Serving your communication needs with excellence!
What do you think?
I'm liking accomplishing goals off of my list, it's a good feeling!
