Jeremy and I got married a little more than a month ago. It was a beautiful ceremony, very meaningful for us and we were blessed with how many people came and how many helped out in some way. The day was beautiful and went fairly smoothly (with a fake ring, missing mike, invisable communion elements that appeared suddenly, a grand pirate's entrance, fantastic harry leg joke, special songs for our parents, a surprise foot washing, and a decorated car). It was absolutely perfect!
All that time spent in planning and preparing for that special day and then it flew by. There are still times I have to remind myself that it really did happen and that those pictures are really about us. It seems like a dream at times. However, I am loving being married and thank God for my husband.
We went to San Diego and had a great time there, going to Disneyland, on a dinner cruise, and to the beach. Then this last week we went back to Ark. where Kelly had a small reception for us. It was really nice to visit with everyone there. Jeremy flew home while I stayed so I could attend Haven's wedding. It's good to be home and finally start getting into a routine. I have been doing lots of errands with regards to changing my name officially which is difficult to do on top of working.
This coming weekend we are going up to visit my Grandparents and celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. That is such a long time and I am so glad that I have been able to have such a close relationship with both of them. They are such an example to me about what it means to have commitment in your marriage and to have the mindset of that we have to work out whatever problems may come and that divorce is not an option. I have been very influenced by that thinking and do hope that Jeremy and I can share 60 years together.
