Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

My 101 goals in a 1,001 days deadline was on on September 28th, so an update on how I did is long overdue.

I was able to accomplish 54 goals out of the 101 I started with and only canceled 3. I have attached the list down at the end of the post for a review. I was not able to write a post about all of the items that I did, but did make comments on some of the numbers.

There were several large financial goals on the list which had to be put on hold for the time being. Paying for school all this time made it challenging to be able to save a lot of money.

Several of the travel ones were hard to even think about as it is difficult to get away when I am the only one working. I can take the time off but being self employed I do not get paid vacation time and I have to make sure that there is enough money saved to pay the bills before I take the time off.

I am pretty pleased the amount that I was able to cross off of my list. There are several things that I still want to to do and I will still be working on or plan to do when I can.

One big one that I did just before the time was up was #26, Starting a Side Business. While we have been blessed with able to pay for Jeremy's tuition all along the way and all our needs have been met, we are not at the place where I want to be with our finances. My interpreting work has been steady, but I need to do something else in addition to achieve my financial goals.

I decided to start another blog over at CookWithaShoe.com where I will be talking about debt free living and living on a shoestring budget by choice and I plan to make this my second job. After a lot of research into what other bloggers are doing, I see that it is possible to bring in an income if you put a lot of work into making your blog professional and that is what I want to do with my new blog.

My official launch date for CookWithaShoe.com is January 9, 2015, but you can check it out any time.

Just after I started setting up the other website, this one crashed. Haha, talk about timing!

I don't know how much I will update Our Beautiful Nest anymore, but I would love to have you join me over at CookWithaShoe.com. There are places on the new website where you can sign up to receive my newsletter updates.

Thank you for following my adventures here and for making the comments that you have made. I do hope to see you over at CookWithaShoe.com

Charissa
